Building another one of these tables. 

Machining the double-sided stepped mortise in the 3 inch thick lumber core legs is a pretty labor-intensive bit of woodworking, but the results are worth it.

A fun fact about ammonia & oak:

The underside of the big oak table is all amonia fumed oak. The process speaks to me in that the results are a natural chemical reaction and depending on the tannin content of the wood, the results can vary wildly
Nearly every design choice on this cabinet was a function of the sliding doors. 

The drawer pulls are created by laminating ash that has a rabbeted circle cut into it over the dovetailed drawer face. This design allows for the doors to slide over th
